I know alot of you out there are Pet lovers.  If you have a moment please help Skippy…

Jack Russell Terrier mix “Skippy,” who’s competing in this year’s Extreme Mutt Makeover, could really use your help getting more “Likes” on Facebook. If he wins the Facebook “fan favorites” contest through the EMM, the humane society that saved him will get $500.

In addition, Skippy would love to get adopted after the competition. Please consider helping!!  Thank you! :)

Dog Sweaters

Dog Sweaters

Dog Sweaters

Little dogs are the most likely breeds to need dog sweaters. Chihuahuas, toy terriers, miniature pinchers, and other small breeds may not be equipped to deal with outdoor winter temperatures, so it may be a good idea to invest in some type of protection for your dog to wear during his daily walks. This is especially true of shorthaired or hairless dogs.

Dog sweaters are also recommended if you live in an area where the temperature drops significantly below 0° Fahrenheit (-18° C). This is especially important for animals that take long walks or spend a lot of time outdoors, even if they are large breeds that are accustomed to the cold. Dog sweaters can especially help animals who are recuperating from an illness or injury and are more prone to feeling the effects of cold weather.

Spring Nest Making

Spring

Spring

The other day I saw a bird on my way to work with a twig in its beak. I thought what a hard bed that must make. So, this year I am going to put my little pieces of yarn outside for my furry outdoor friends to use so they can have a an “extra soft” bed.

I encourage all of us with those little bits of yarn that we keep for some insane reason to put them outside in a saucer or little plate for easy pickin’.  I cut mine into 4″ and smaller for easier carrying. (I don’t think sewing thread is a good idea, they will get stuck)

New Sprouts of Ideas

New Sprouts

New Sprouts

We all have it, just admit it. That period of time where no matter how much you want to have a creative thought, it just won’t work. After fighting too long, I gave it. And sure enough, new sprouts of ideas have come my way.

Thinking of poochie apparel

A few new accessories I think I just must have!

One, form my wife waking in the middle of the night going

“I have an idea I think you should make”,

I jumped up quickly to grab my paper and pen close by.

Finally the “creative block” is gone and my mind is happy to have something creative to think about…

Keeping warm at the office.

Keeping Warm

Keeping Warm

With window’s drafting in winter weather and attempts at heating large rooms with cubicle’s:  keeping warm at the office can be hard to do. Anything that keeps you within the dress-code and helps keep you warm is always good. Fingerless gloves make great hand warmers, and fashionable scarfs keep your neck warm, Inspired by my own office, with heaters attempting to overload circuits, some of us religiously wear fingerless gloves and scarfs. Now as we meet in the hall we admire each others fashion for the day and keep are hands and neck warm at the same time!

Needle felted products are wool fiber only, without a string to come unraveled. Each winter flower, snowflake and wrist warmer are handmade. Fused together with repetitive movement of a needle and patience… and finger protectors! The wool roving fibers slowly connect with each stitch that connects them together!
